The village of La Garde-Freinet has developed a set of 12 hikes around the village (a couple of which overlap with the two Grande Randonnée (GR) routes in the area). One of our friends mentioned that they regularly took their retriever down to the dam at the base of the hill on the motorway side of the mountains. He and his wife also mentioned that its was a bit of a steep route. I didn’t think it would be a problem but well, it wasn’t easy.
