Beautiful run through the heart of Munich. It helps to have great weather for this mostly urban track but you do go through the English Garden before getting to the Olympic Park. Beautiful space and, while a bit pricey, the view from the tower is amazing.
Absolutely stunning run on Anti Paros – took the 5 min ferry from Pounta and drove south to Soros Beach to start the run. Trail wasn’t difficult to find and is good dirt road with moderate traffic heading to the smaller beaches. Well worth the trip to see the small church near Faneromeni.
Absolutely stunning long run with a good combination of road, single track and elevation. At no time did I feel like there was exposure or anything dramatic. But the views are amazing and the Spring / Church tucked halfway up the mountain is truly special.
Fair warning on this one – unless you’re an exceptionally good rock runner, this is better off as a nice historic hike. You can go either direction but we started in Lefkes and turned around in Prodromas.
Fantastic run on the relatively sparse Cycladic island of Ios. Starts from the corner of Mylopotas Beach and heads into the hills. Trail is marked (both with markers and spraypainted red dots) but is difficult to find at first. You’ll also feel like you’re trespassing crossing a broken fence and traversing a goat enclosure. But it’s worth it. Just be careful as the trail is somewhat challenging single track…
Amazing run down the ski fields at altitude – can’t imagine how beautiful Corchevel is in the winter!
Had to take the train out of Brighton to get to this park – nice view of the countryside and some decently surprising rolling hills.
An amazing part of the world – Cassis is right on the edge of the Parc national des Calanques which is a dramatic set of inlets along the Med.
Beautiful and somewhat challenging run on Vis delving into the island’s past (it was a restricted military base until 1989) – including this former nuclear command bunker.
Nice trail out of SYRA up towards the back side of Camino Cielo looking back to the valley. Tough trail but rewarding and if you go all the way to the top you can check out Knapp’s Castle.
